Asturian beaches

How many times have we heard that of “Asturias, Natural Paradise”? But, what makes this area of Spain one of the favorite destinations for lovers of nature and especially of beaches? Undoubtedly, the principality offers a combination of beaches and mountains that are not very crowded, or not at all crowded, at a very short distance, so whether it is for a getaway or a long stay, Asturias is the perfect destination to get lost in nature and disconnect.

We arrived in search of the perfect place to carry out our project and we traveled the entire coast of Spain. Without a doubt, we fell in love with eastern Asturias. A very short distance away there are beaches with very different characteristics, so every day you can find beaches that suit your level of surfing and other activities such as stand up paddle.

And best of all, they are not beaches with mass tourism, nor gigantic constructions, so when you are sitting on your board, waiting for the next wave, you will see nothing but leafy groves, steep cliffs and green meadows. In short, an authentic natural paradise.

The white, brown, ocher and black tones of the various beaches bathed by crystalline waters stand out. One of the most famous beaches is Frejulfe (or Frexulfe) beach, which is located in the town of Navia, just a few minutes from our Enjoy House. This beach is where we carry out our main activity: surfing. With 3 car parks prepared for travellers, the Avelino beach bar (La Mar de Fondo) that welcomes us with unbeatable views of the beach and from which one cannot leave without trying its tuna, and Pablo's school (FreSurf School), always ready to welcome surfers wanting to enjoy a good wave session. Another impressive beach in Asturias is Playa de Barayo, located in Valdés. This beach is one of the wildest and most virgin in Asturias, and is classified as a Natural Biosphere Reserve.

It is a perfect place for those looking for a quiet and solitary place to relax and enjoy the sea and the landscape. Whether you are looking for a quiet place to relax, or a lively beach with a wide variety of activities, Asturias is a destination that offers something for everyone. In short, Asturias is, without a doubt, a true Natural Paradise. And we, from Enjoy Native, are very lucky to be able to enjoy it.
